TV highlights: March on Washington programming begins

Networks start leading up to next week’s 50th anniversary with “March on Washington: The Dream Continues” (MSNBC at 6 p.m.), hosted by the Rev. Al Sharpton, who is joined by guests including Martin Luther King III and Bernice King.

Two best friends — on a mission to both get married before they turn 30 — mean business when they attempt to find their soul mates and win some cash on “Perfect Score” (CW at 8).

Well, this won’t offend anyone — the contestants participate in a “trailer-park chic” photo shoot on “America’s Next Top Model” (CW at 9), and later, try to hold their center of gravity when they must walk on a spinning runway.

One bride on “Say Yes to the Dress” (TLC at 9) wants a “sexy” gown, though her mother vehemently opposes this idea. Later, a woman’s friends aren’t impressed with a dress that shows off her curves.

Parker Schnabel, 18, ditches home to set up his own operation in the Klondike on “Gold Rush” (Discovery at 9), while in Alaska, the Dakota boys hunt for the gold in a place called Porcupine Creek.

CNN’s Don Lemon hosts “We Were There: The March on Washington – An Oral History” (CNN at 10), which interviews Rep. John Lewis (D-Ga.), the only living leader of the “Big Six” civil rights organizations who spoke at the march on Aug. 28, 1963. Lewis recalls his memories from that summer, while other march witnesses and behind-the-scenes participants talk about what the event meant to the civil rights movement.

On “20/20” (ABC at 10), Detective Felix Padilla talks about the Los Angeles Police Department’s goal to stop a “city-wide epidemic” of hit-and-runs.

A woman is a tomboy who loves camouflage, but the stylists have other ideas on “What Not to Wear” (TLC at 10), as Clinton and Stacy help her find a new style that works with her body type.

One-hour special “The Last Huntsmen” (Discovery at 10) follows a group of men who protect and guard people living in the wilderness from various dangers and predators. First up, huntsman Jason heads to Haines, Alaska, and chases away a bear from a mining camp. Later, survivalist Cory travels to Peru when a logging camp is worried about a jaguar on the premises.
